The back has a spring mounted hinge which adds to comfort in the back reclined position.

A choice of seat height ranges are available to suit your needs and if you go with the dual height foot control option you can adjust the height of the chair by activating the foot disc under the 5 star base with your foot whilst you are working on the patient but can still adjust the seat height also by touching the lever in the normal way.
